James Smith born and raised up in New York City / USA got his first start at the age of five with the Church choir where his father was Pastor and Bishop. The diminutive singer was too young for the church choir, but his powerful voice proved that he would soon be a force to reckon with as a Singer and Entertainer.

James moved to the West Coast / Hollywood after high school for the Famous Television Dance Show "Soul Train" he later attended the Los Angeles Community College as well as attending the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar under the direction of Daryl Coley.

James's theatrical background led him into acting in Drama Productions, such as "True Controversy", "Ms. Hazel House of Heavenly Rest", "From Crack to Christ" The musical ware his favourites. He worked in "Dinal Departure" and even toured all over the USA with the Famous Off Broadway Musical "Mama I want to sing Part 2" which opened doors for him working with Chaka Kan and also Tony Terry on his Hit song "Everlasting Love", Rap Artist Public Enemy and appearing in the Film "Malcolm X" and "Boomerang".

In addition to that he was performing for AKA Sorority's in "A Tribute to Afro-American Man".He was a special guest for the Harlem Week Festival 1992 singing "The Black National Anthem". The year 1993 was the beginning of new horizons making his way into Europe, Germany by touring with the Group "The Black Gospel Pearls".

In 1995 James released his first Debute Hit Single “I Like It” with EMI-Electrola / Germany which sold over millions of copies on the Bravo Hits 12 Compilation. James did a promotion tour in 1996 and 1997 even as Special Guest on Television Shows like Viva Interactive, RTL, Vampy Show, TM3 "Frieda", WDR "Lollo Rosso", as well as Radio Shows NRJ, Radio Köln, Radio RPR, Radio ERFT, Radio 7, Radio NRW. 1998 James wrote a song "My Little Princess" due to a Royal private situation in Bulgaria and was invited to Sofia, Bulgaria on "The Tudor Kaliv Show Television Special". During this time James worked along side with Power Jam Records in Köln Germany and produced more songs like "Kangaroo Dance", "Time for Brazil". James was also working on different Charity and Benefit projects such as the group "Voices" with whom he released many singles and Album “The Truth”

James aspires to be a positive influence and a role model for all, especially the world's youth. He hopes to encourage and motivate people from all works of life so that all people can have a better tomorrow, Today.
